Ayatollah Golpayegani charity institute and specialty and sub-specialty hospital
As ordered by Ayatollah Golpayegani in 1961, a clinic was established for the public, and especially for the clergy, to offer free-of-charge services. After the events of June 5, 1963, the political atmosphere of the country was not in favor of many people and clergymen, and revolutionaries and clergymen were faced with medical problems. As a result, a non-governmental hospital was a necessity. In such conditions, upon the order of Ayatollah Golpayegani and efforts of his son, Hujjat-al-Islam Mehdi Golpayegani, this clinic was converted into a well-equipped hospital which is still offering services to the public and the clergy after about 50 years.
This three-story hospital has 242 approved beds and more than 170 active beds, including semi-private, two-bed, and special-bed rooms on an area of 13530 m2 and floor area of 14250 m2. This center has become one of the best non-governmental hospitals of the province thanks to the presence of skillful and committed professors, doctors, and staff.
This hospital also trains medical, nursing, midwifery, and paramedicine students in collaboration with the Islamic Azad University of Qom.
