Hemodialysis

Head nurse: Ms. Fatemeh Ghorbankhani, B.S. of Nursing

Patients whose kidneys cannot clean blood for any reason use an assistive device called hemodialysis. In this method, blood is placed adjacent to the dialysate by a semipermeable membrane. By simple diffusion, this prevents the transfer of toxins excreted from blood to the dialysate.

This ward is equipped with 15 advanced dialysis devices: five Fresenneus SClasic and 10 Fresenneus B. There are 14 devices in the hemodialysis ward, and one device in the ICU ward for critically ill patients.

The skillful and trained staff in this ward as well as the peaceful atmosphere of the dialysis room suit patients who require emergency or chronic dialysis services. This ward offers services every day (except for Fridays) on three shifts (morning, afternoon, and night). On-call dialysis staff are present to offer services to critically ill patients when the ward is closed.

To increase the awareness of patients undergoing dialysis, nutritional training is offered by a nutritionist in the conference hall of the hospital
