Prostatectomy

Prostatectomy; suprapubic, or retropubic, complete or semi-complete, one or two stages

Removal of all or part of the adenoma (transition zone) of the prostate suprapubically (via cystectomy) or retropubically (via surgical capsule incision of the prostate) with or without the need for reoperation via the urethra or reopening the surgical incision to control bleeding during the first hospitalization with or without vasectomy (in cases of recurrent testicular infections) along with dilatation of the scrotum, urethra, or internal urethrotomy, by a renal and urinary tract surgeon and his/her fellowships (including vasectomy, mechatotomy, calibration or dilatation of the urethra, and internal urethrotomy).
